Supermarkeder og økologiske fødevarer i Horsens!

Hi,

The title is writed in Danish, but i'm sure you can find the meaning!

Nothing ?

In fact, the title is "Supermarkets and Organic Food in Horsens" in Danish! In Denmark, we can find a lot of organic food!
I don't know if you know but in France, you can find organic food :

- At supermarkets like Carrefour or Leclerc 10 or 15 years ago. Sometimes, increasingly, we can find also organic department.

- At the market in the street with a lot of organic farms.

- At organic supermarkets like Biocoop. There are just organic products.

In Denmark, it is different. We can find only supermarkets of different sizes. There are not markets in the street and special organic shops.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To begin, I explain to you differents kind of supermarkets in Denmark and especially in Horsens, our erasmus city! The price is very similar to the France.

  1. Big supermarkets. The bigger supermarket in Horsens is Bilka.

Adress : Høegh Guldbergs Gade 10

8700 Horsens, Danemark

This supermarket offers all : Restaurant, Toys, Books, Foods, Drinks, Bikes, Tools... The price is normal, some example :
- 200g of Cheese : 20kr = 2,75e
- 10eggs : 20 kr = 2,75e

Open everyday! Monday / Friday : 8h 20h , Saturday : 8h 18h , Sunday : 10h 17h

2. Little supermarkets of the quarter : Fatka/ Lovbjerg

We can find these shops everywhere in Horsens!

These supermarkets offer Foods, Drinks, Daily products.. The price is normal, some example :
- 200g of Cheese : 20kr = 2,75e
- 10eggs : 20 kr = 2,75e

3. Low cost supermarkets : Netto / Lidl

It is just closed to the Bilka!
Same products of Fatka and Lovbjerg but low costs!
- 200g of Cheese : 15kr = 2,2e
- 10eggs : 15kr = 2,2e

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

And everywhere be carefull, when you buy cans or bottles (plastic and glass) you pay a tax. If you bring these cans or bottles empty, the supermarket gives you the tax. (Tax is about 1, 2 and 3kr according to the size of the can or bottle!)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

So now, Organic food !

  • At the canteen of our University :
We pay for the weight of our plate! There is not much organic foods. Just dairy products and juice.
But it is buffets with fresh vegetables!

Organic milk fountain ! 5kr for 40cl ! (0,65e)

The buffet!

Organic juice fountain !

  • At the supermarket!
Dairy products

Organic cheese

Vegetable department!

Organic carrot!

Organic milk! The red sign in the middle is the danish organic sign!

So, in Denmark in Supermarket, and only in supermarket we can find a lot of organic products (vegetables, diary, spices, meats..) !

See you for the next article! It will be the latest articles before our departure to the France!
